Redistributed Microsoft(r) ATL, CRT and MFC v7.0 Update

Installation
============
If you want to determine whether your system definitely needs the update, read
the Update Details section below.  Note:  the update cannot harm your system as
it will automatically detect whether it needs to install itself or not.

1.  Download the "MSRedist7.zip" Zip archive file from one of the locations
    provided and save it in an EMPTY folder on a hard disk that is local to the
    POP3 Server machine.

2.  Extract the files from the Zip archive to the same folder.

3.  Run "MSRedistSetup.exe" from the same folder location and follow the on-
    screen instructions.

Update Details
==============
The following versions of DAWKCo POP3 Server (or later) depend on the v7.0 (or
later) updated redistributable Microsoft(r) runtime libraries and will not
function without them:

Hosting Version 6.0 with WebMAIL Extension for Windows 2000/XP
Hosting Version 5.5 for Windows 2000/XP
Hosting Version 4.5 for NT 4
Small Business Version 4.5 for Windows 2000/XP
Small Business Version 3.5 for NT 4

The updated Windows(r) system libraries do not come with Windows 2000, and
although subsequent Windows 2000 Service Packs may update them, they are not
installed/updated by Windows 2000 Service Packs unless they already exist on
your system.  They are provided to software vendors by Microsoft for
redistribution with their applications.  However, they may already exist on
your system if you have some other software that has installed them, such as
C++ .NET applications.

Do not install the above DAWKCo POP3 Server versions (or later) UNTIL AFTER you
have either installed the Windows(r) libraries update referenced above, or you
have verified that the files listed below exist in the following directory on
the mail server machine:

If the files above are not found in your %SystemRoot%\System32 directory, or
you have earlier versions installed, you must download and install the system
libraries update from one of the locations provided prior to installing the
DAWKCo POP3 Server versions (or later) listed above.

The system libraries update is packaged as a Windows Installer which provides
safe Versioning Control, Rollback and Repair capabilities.  If, after installing
the update, you ever need to repair/reinstall or uninstall the system libraries
update, use the "Redistributed Microsoft(r) ATL, CRT and MFC v7.0 Update" entry
in the Add/Remove Programs applet in Control Panel.  However, as long as you are
running one of the newer DAWKCo POP3 Server versions (or later) listed, you MUST
NOT Uninstall the system libraries update!

The system libraries required by previous versions of DAWKCo POP3 Server are
included in Windows 2000/XP.  If for some reason you must revert to an earlier
version of DAWKCo POP3 Server after installing one of the newer versions (or
later) listed--NOT recommended!--you can stop the DAWKCo services and the WWW
service, delete the following folders and then reinstall with the older version
of POP3 Server:

x:\Inetpub\webmail\isapi

where %SystemRoot% is typically x:\WINNT and x: is the system drive--typically
C:.  Reverting using this procedure will leave your existing POP3 configuration
intact.
